Hi! First I'd like to say this blog is one of the few that gives me hope that some people in this fandom are still normal.

Second, I don't know if you've talked about this before and I'm too lazy to search for it, but do you like Dave and Karkat as friends? Like, part of the reason why I hate Davekat so much (besides making DaveJade and Karezi impossible and literally erasing Daverezi from existence even though they'd already broken up anyway) is that it took one of the few bromances in the comic left, heck one of the few platonic friendships in general where the characters interact in person, that was allowed to actually grow and develop before our eyes, and then basically just flip it all on its head and say "lol nope they're into each other guys, ain't no way these two dudes living on a meteor full of girls aren't hanging out with each other because they're in love". I personally love seeing hs fanart of the characters just being friends, but after Davekat happened I literally can't find any art of them that isn't meant to be shippy.

Tl;dr: do you ship platonic Davekat at least?

I wouldn't mind Davekat in a platonic sense, but in a way that's a messing around and making the other peeved kind of way. Like a playful rivalry of them wanting to one-up the other, but will have their back because nobody is allowed to mess with the other. But sadly, we can't even get that. Everything has be fluff uwu soft boi. Every once in a while, it's nice. But they forget that this is Karkat and Dave. Guys who were edgelords in their own way. Who aren't scared to say what they think about something and will bluntly say it with no restraints. If Karkat says someone is a fag, they are a fag. If Dave says something is retarded, it is retarded.
